I would guess that USB turntables are, if not low-quality, at least undetermined quality. Using phono outputs direct to computer and doing RIAA EQ in the computer is another option placing the least number of devices in the chain. Anyway, I'm no expert myself, but would appreciate if any updates to this article included some facts and test data about converting LP tracks to high-quality digital files.

Currently there is no way to convert and transfer audio directly to a USB flash drive.
